The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) is changing the way the world works....Some implementations that may be of particular interest to the MSOR community are: MathML, used to store mathematics in an unambiguous machine readable format; and SVG and X3D used to create 2D and 3D diagrams and animations in a non proprietary format.
