Abstract: 
Features: update on staff; invitation to tender for learning and teaching project: future workshops includeing: Disciplines in Dialogue, 5 Dec, York; Dyslexia & Dyscalculia Interest Group, 7 Dec, Birmingham; Embeddomg Sustainable Development into the Curriculum, 13 Dec, York. Also includes a summary of recent events with Network involvement: UNCT 2005, HELM conference. In 2006, the Maths, Stats & OR Network intends to launch a new student competition "MSOR Maths Challenge", which will consist of puzzles designed to develop problem solving and prizes will be available! In association with the Royal Statistical Society, the MSOR Network is now offering a Certificate in Teaching Statistics; the course normally lasts 6 months and assumes some prior experience. Finally Prof Helen MacGillivray is visiting the UK early in 2006 and plans to build on previous work with the RSS and MSOR Network.
