This project was undertaken at Coventry University during the year 2004-2005 with the aim of overcoming the difficulties of teaching and assessing a very large group of students with wide-ranging experience and ability. The programs developed have been used with level one students in Coventry Business School for two consecutive years with great success…. Two different forms of the spreadsheet macro have been produced. The first provides feedback, so that students can practise and learn from their mistakes. The second gives no feedback, but prints out a sheet of coded information for the lecturer, showing exactly where mistakes have been made and the mark calculated by the program.
