Welcome and contents page for MSOR Connections May 2006. The proposal to increase the supply of mathematical sciences graduates, with which the Network is involved, was submitted to HEFCE at the end of April, and we eagerly await an announcement in June as to whether it will be funded. On behalf of the Project Steering Committee, I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the development of this proposal and who have expressed their support and commitment to it. The Network is currently developing its events and activities for 2006/2007, and so if there is an area where you feel that the network should target support, or if you have an idea for a workshop or an event that you would like us to offer,
