Mathematical thinking workshop
We supported a workshop at Greenwich, Developing mathematical thinking through problems, puzzles and games, on 1st July 2011. Below are some resources from that workshop.
Here are the presentation files from the workshop Developing mathematical thinking through problems, puzzles and games.
- Noel-Ann Bradshaw: Encouraging 1st year undergraduates to develop their mathematical thinking;
- Chris Sangwin Developing mathematical reasoning: reflections on a university problem solving course;
- Edmund Harriss: University mathematics for non-mathematicians: puzzles, culture and making;
- Noel-Ann Bradshaw: University of Greenwich Maths Cafe;
- Colin Graham shared a LiveBinder with links from his talk on mathematical origami (users may need to install a Japanese font to view some pages correctly!).
View a record of all relevant messages sent via Twitter from the workshop on 1st July 2011.
