I will begin by laying my prejudices on the table. My attitude to computer assisted learning (CAL) is a mixture of enthusiasm for its potential and scepticism about the degree of success claimed for it so far. I am optimistic that in the longer term CAL will achieve great things but I have not seen many examples that exploit the educational and technical opportunities of the medium to the full….
