Abstract:
We are told that Intermediate Statistics “picks up where Statistics for Dummies leaves off, and keeps you moving along the road of statistical ideas and techniques in a positive step–by–step way. The focus is on building and testing models.” The book is designed for students who have had some sort of introductory statistics course, do not have A level maths, but have ideally met Minitab. It provides chapters on regression: multiple, non-linear and logistic; ANOVA, Chi-Squared tests and non parametric tests. In short, in my view, the whole book is worth its money, and would be almost worth it for the first chapter alone…
