This book, edited by Thomas Moore, is number 52 in the series of MAA Notes and is described as Resources for Undergraduate Instructors. It costs $31.95 (ASA members $25.95) and is almost worth the price for the first (very short) article alone. This is by George Cobb, is entitled Teaching Statistics: More Data, Less Lecturing, and is a concise summary of his fuller article, Teaching Statistics, in MAA Notes No. 22 – Heeding the Call for Change. Here he offers two recommendations for statistics teaching, and three headings on how students learn.
