Introduction and contents page to the MSOR Connections Feb 2002 newsletter, which features articles on teaching, learning and assessment issues of interest to the mathematics, statistics and operational research academic community… This issue features summaries from two mathematicians who have been awarded National Teaching Fellowships this year - Chris Budd, who is joining us as chair of our Advisory Committee, and Michael McCabe. Two major articles address widening participation in MSOR and the use of projects in statistics education, and there is at last a brief note from the Operational Research community.
